Greenway Trees and Damp Roofs
Homes backing up to the greenway, Salmon Creek Regional Park or Klineline Pond often have tall alders, maples and firs leaning over the roof. The shade and the damp air from the creek bottoms keep shingles wet through winter, and moss settles in along the eaves and in the valleys.
On newer two-story homes, the dark streaks on a large, visible front slope are often algae, and they stand out from the street.

Low-Pressure Roof Cleaning
High pressure can strip granules and lift shingles, so we soft wash instead. A cleaning solution goes on at low pressure and kills the growth, and the rain clears the dead moss over the following weeks.
Many Salmon Creek neighborhoods have HOA appearance standards, and a clean roof is one of the most visible improvements you can make.
