River Valley Fog and Roof Growth
The East Fork and the Bottoms keep the air damp, and fog often fills the valley on cool mornings. Roofs that stay wet that long grow moss and algae readily, especially on homes tucked into wooded hillsides above the river.
Needles from overhanging trees collect in roof valleys and behind chimneys, and moss tends to start in exactly those spots.

Low Pressure for Valley Roofs
We do not pressure wash shingles. A soft wash applies a cleaning solution at low pressure to kill moss and algae, and rain washes the dead growth off over the following weeks. That protects the granules your roof needs to shed water.
